Alternate Name
The Alternate Name tab in the Entity Navigation list for a Group Customer supports the storage and display of Alternate Names for a customer. The Alternate Name can be updated pre-implementation on the Alternate Name screen. Post implementation, a new Alternate Name can be added via an activity at the Group Customer or Client level.
How it Works
The Alternate Name screen provides the user with the ability to add, view, and edit Alternate Names for a Group Customer. Filter options can be displayed using the Filter
icon. To view all the filter options, click the Filter
icon. Once, all the filter options are displayed, alternate names can be filtered on the Alternate Name screen by selecting appropriate filter options. Alternate names appear only if the filter options corresponding to them are selected.

Type (Optional) – The type of Alternate name for the Group Customer. By default, alternate names are displayed by EmployeeID.

Effective Date From (Optional) – Start date of the date range for which the records are required.

Effective Date To (Optional) – End date of the date range for which the records are required.

Display (Optional) – Status of the alternate name if it is Active, Inactive, or Canceled.
When the user change any of these fields and click Refresh. This repopulates the table to reflect the selected filters.
Steps to Create a New Alternate Name

Search Customer using the Unified Search method either by entering the Name or using the wild card (%). The Customer screen appears.

From the Customer Entity Navigation list, click Alternate Name tab. The Alternate Name screen appears.

Click Add icon
. A new row is inserted in the table of the Alternate Name screen with fields. -
Enter the Alternate Name information for the Customer.

Click Save, the information will display in table row of the Alternate Name screen.
Important: The default Alternate Name is assigned when the radio button next to that Alternate Name is clicked in the table.
Steps to Delete an Alternate Name

Search Customer using the Unified Search method either by entering the Name or using the wild card (%). The Customer screen appears.

From the Customer Entity Navigation list, click Alternate Name tab. The Alternate Name screen will open with Alternate Name list.

Click the delete icon
in the Alternate Name record.

Click Yes when the Delete Alternate Name confirmation window appears. The status of the Alternate Name should now be listed as expired.
Update Alternate Name
Customer Alternate Name information can be updated as needed.
Steps to Update Existing Alternate Name Information

Search Customer using the Unified Search method either by entering the Name or using the wild card (%). The Customer screen appears.

From the Customer entity navigation list, click Alternate Name tab. The Alternate Name screen will open with Alternate Name list in a table.

Click the Edit icon in the Alternate Name record to edit.

Make the changes to the Alternate Name information.

Click Save.
Steps to Create a New Alternate Name Using an Activity
- Search for a customer to add alternate name.
- Click Add Activities on the Action list below the Entity Navigation list.

Select the activity from the Activity drop down box.

Enter the activity details.

Click OK. The activity is added to the activity list table of Activity screen.

Click the Process icon next to the activity to process it. To view activity details, on the Activities screen, click <Activity Name>.

The <Activity Name> window appears. By default, the Details tab is displayed. Click the Suspense tab to view suspense details.
